1. What is the Hoopla Club?
Hoopla Club is an exclusive platform for
students to express, experience and explore in what we believe is a very
important aspect of a students life that is Co Curriculum. The front
end of the whole movement is the monthly magazine which not only provides
the child with information that helps in building his/ her general knowledge
but also creates a medium to showcase his/ her talent.
At Hoopla Club we believe in experiential learning. Therefore, our members get to go on exclusive industry visits like the Bangalore International Airport, ISRO, the Unibic biscuit factory, the Karnataka High Court to name a few. Not only that, we also sensitize our members to various issues in our society by taking them on visits to old age homes, orphanages, schools for the blind etc and encourage them to do their bit for the community.
In just its 3rd year Hoopla Club is proud to have nearly 15,000/ student members who actively participate in all that Hoopla does. The magazine also reaches close to 500 schools across the country.
Hoopla is an attempt to bring together the community of students, parents, teachers and the education institutions.
Hoopla is also probably one of the few magazines in the world that appears in the Braille format for we believe that no child should be deprived of its rights to learn.
2. What age group is Hoopla Club magazine
for?
Hoopla caters to the age group of 7 to 16
years with an exclusive section for juniors in classes 1 to 4.

Apart from adding to your general knowledge
base and helping you with your school curriculum, Hoopla Club magazine provides
members a platform for expressing their views and talents. So if you are a
member, you can share your contributions in writing and art with fellow readers

4. Will all my contributions get published
in the magazine?
Our editorial team filters all the articles
and contributions received by us. We do adhere to certain standards and levels
of knowledge and language and the decision to publish the article solely rests
with the editorial team.
5. How do I subscribe for Hoopla Club
magazine?
Subscription is simple. You may download
the form from our website and fill it and mail it to us with a cheque for
Rs 350 for subscription from June to February every year. Mailing charges
for Bangalore are Rs 15 per month. Hence subscription is Rs 485 for residents
of Bangalore city.
6. How does the magazine reach me?
The magazine is couriered every month, between
the 10th and 15th, to the registered address.
7. What are the different kinds of
events and activities conducted by Hoopla Club?
Events are in the form of Field Trips, Awareness
Campaigns and sensitisation efforts.
The field trips involve a strength of 10 to 100 children, visiting a place
of interest like a radio station, an animation studio, a toy factory, a textile
loom etc.
The awareness campaigns will involve the entire premises. These are in different
areas including Fire Fighting, Disaster Management, Environment, Health, Traffic
safety, and interactive game sessions.
Sensitisation efforts aim at sensitising members to their environment and
include visits to orphanages, old age homes, animal shelters etc. The Suraksha
Bandhan ia a concept to Bond the Young with the Elderly to help member students
pay their special tribute to the senior citizens. The programme involves members
inviting their elders and begins with singing the Suraksha Bandhan anthem,
reading out the Suraksha Bandhan pledge and tying the special Suraksha Bandhan
band on the hands of their elders.
8. Can I be a part of the Hoopla Club Events?
Currently we offer activities and Hoopla
events in the city of Bangalore only. We have different offerings for individuals,
schools, and apartment blocks. You may log on to the About Us section of the

9. What is the current reach of Hoopla
Club magazine?
We have a subscriber base of close to 15,000
members in the city of Bangalore alone and reach out to nearly 700 libraries
across 8 cities with a readership of nearly 5 lakhs. We are also at Paediatric
wings of some well known hospitals, common areas of star hotels, and luxury
resorts.
