Hey kids, hope you all are doing great! The big news is that our website will soon have a completely new and colourful look. There are new comic strips, new causes that Hoopla Club has adopted, a quick peek into our latest issue! Do take a look and let us know what you think!
Besides that, Friendship Day just passed by and you know what was the best thing about this year? We visited the National Association for the Blind and interacted with the students there. We watched them learn how to weave, make baskets and even operate complicated machinery. We saw how they are taught various mathematical concepts! It is really amazing because they learn everything through touch. Can you imagine that? We also got to see how they operate computers using a special software that allows them to hear whatever they type! They showed us how Braille is taught to these students. Oh and do you know that the cane that they use requires special techniques. And while we were leaving, one of them stood up and said, “Happy Friendship Day”! The whole experience at NAB made us forget about the ocassion, but when this student wished us, it made this year's Friendship Day, the most special one Hoopla has ever had!

Hi kids, hope your week began well. It has been really busy here at Hoopla. It’s that
time of the month when the magazine is getting ready. The writers are all finishing
off the articles assigned to them. And of course, we need to sit with the team that does
all the illustrations! Oh and even more important is that we have to go through the
hundreds of articles that come in and pick which ones will go into the magazine! It
is the most difficult part. You see, all our members are so talented that it is hard to
decide which ones to pick!

After all the material is ready, we need to lay the pages out. That takes about three
days if all our content is ready! Oh and it doesn’t stop there, we still need to take
copies to check for spelling mistakes and make sure the colours are alright. In the end
when the magazine is ready, we send it to our printer and wait for it to get ready.

It is a lot of hard work but when the magazine comes out and we see smiles on the
faces of our kids who read them, it feels great. If any of you is interested in getting
into the medium of print, be prepared to work really hard. But we can assure you that
it will be rewarding!

Hey kids,
Welcome to another week with Hopla Club. We have some exciting news! We went out
to Bannerghatta National Park the other day for a casual visit about two weeks back and
saw that we could bring these lovely animals into our big Hoopla Family by adopting
them! And guess what! We’ve adopted 4 beautiful creatures- a Gharial, a star tortoise,
the great hornbill and an Indian Cobra. We’ve put up boards to show that we’ve adopted
these creatures and it feels great! Next time you go to Bannerghatta National Park, look
out for yellow and orange boards! Oh and you can adopt animals too! Check out the costs
online or call the National Park, have a chat with your parents and before you know it,
you’ll have a beautiful wild friend!
